Dogwood

Living material, this ground.

The flowering dogwood is North Carolina’s tree. It belongs to Tryon the way the railroad and the old woodshops do — native, seasonal, and particular to this side of the escarpment.

Wood is never generic. Grain, moisture, the way a door hangs in August. That is the first half of the shop.

Pi

A number you keep chasing.

Pi is the ratio that never quite ends — the circle you cut true, the steel you square, the reveal that reads as one line from across the room.

Cabinets and metal live in the same house. One shop. One standard. That is the other half.

Selected work

Quiet pieces that stay.

Kitchens that open up. Steel that disappears into the architecture. Floors you can leave a house on.

All services
01

Custom cabinetry

Inset kitchens, vanities, and casework. Doors that close on a single line. Hardware set as if it grew there.

02

Metal fabrication

Range hoods, railings, frames, and the steel parts of a wood job — made in the same shop as the cabinets.

03

Floors & finish

Hardwood install and repair, trim, built-ins, and the last 10% that makes a remodel feel settled.

From the house

“Chris is someone that not only has the skills, but the integrity to invite in to your home without worry.”
Paul Babelay · Tryon

How it goes

One person. One job. All the way through.

01

Walk the house

Chris comes out, looks at the room, and tells you what the job actually is — not what a catalog says it is.

02

Measure twice

Openings, plumb, the way the floor rolls. Drawings and a clear price before anything is cut.

03

Build in the shop

Wood and steel made on Markham Road, not assembled from a box. Joinery you can see if you look for it.

04

Install as a guest

Protect the floors. Leave it cleaner than we found it. Hardware, caulk, and the last reveal — finished.
